Special Libraries

Many librarians work in hospitals, law firms, corporate offices, newspapers and other specialized organizations. They often are the only librarian and may have job titles like Information Manager, Corporate Information Officer, Knowledge Manager.

Relevant experience will help you find a job in specialized libraries. The Special Libraries Association is a large organization for librarians in a wide range of special interest libraries. There are also many more specialized organizations.
