Maldonado
Sponsoring Organization: Monroe County Library System
Attending: Syracuse University
My name is Cathy Maldonado and I am from Brooklyn, N.Y. I attended undergrad
at St. John Fisher College and graduated with a B.A. in English/Writing
Concentration.
I am currently enrolled in the MLS program at Syracuse University.
The program offers new insight and a challenging approach to Library
Science. My interest in becoming a librarian began with a job at a public
library
in Brooklyn. It was interesting to see how everyone worked together to
provide information to their community and take a genuine interest in
doing so. Later, I continued to work in other areas in the library field.
This
included some archiving and interlibrary loan work which have become
of great interest to me.
